During daily activities, the flexible thumb brace EPITACT® relieves osteoarthritis pain at the base of the thumb while maintaining full hand functionality. It is used in cases of mild osteoarthritis or between two inflammatory flare-ups.
Thanks to its patented technology that promotes the return of the thumb to a resting position, it limits repeated microtraumas on the joint. It thus facilitates certain previously painful movements (carrying a bag, holding a phone, etc.).

How to maintain your EPITACT® thumb brace?
The thumb brace for rhizarthrosis is machine washable at 30 °C or hand wash (without scrubbing) with water and soap. Do not use stain removers (acetone, solvent, etc.). No bleaching. No ironing or steam. No machine drying. No dry cleaning. Discard and replace the device as soon as fabric or seam degradation appears.

Can you wear a flexible thumb brace at night?
The flexible thumb brace EPITACT® is specially designed to relieve you during the day while allowing you to continue your daily tasks. At night, it may happen that the thumb is unconsciously placed in a position that promotes pain. That is why a rigid brace that immobilizes it in a suitable position is preferable.
How to choose the right size?
Using a measuring tape, measure the circumference of your wrist just at the base of the thumb. Then refer to the size guide available at the bottom of the page. If you are between two sizes, prefer the smaller one.
Can you drive with the EPITACT® thumb brace for rhizarthrosis?
The activity thumb brace allows all voluntary gripping gestures. It is thus possible to hold a steering wheel, use your phone, cook, etc. However, the brace limits the small movements made with the hands when talking or walking. Although minimal, these movements can impact the duration of osteoarthritis flare-ups in the thumb.
