Indications for the EPITACT® sports knee brace
Your knee is fragile and you want to resume your sports activities with peace of mind? The Physiostrap® Sport prevents and relieves knee pain related to patellar pathologies (femoro-patellar syndrome, instability and patellar tendinopathy, osteoarthritis, etc.). Its supportive presence thus encourages the return to sports.
How does it work?
The combined action of its technical fabrics and silicone tendon allows for keeping the patella aligned and effectively stabilizing the knee. Completely flexible, this sports knee brace guarantees total freedom of movement and compatibility with all activities (running, hiking, cycling, trail running, tennis, football, basketball, swimming…).
Tests of the Physiostrap® Sport
A study(1) showed that knee support is improved by more than 43% with the PHYSIOstrap® sports knee brace.
Furthermore, it was tested with 94 athletes from INSEP (National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance)(2). After only 10 uses, pain relief and the feeling of stability improved by more than 30%.

Usage tips
- Wash the sports knee brace before the first use.
- For optimal fit: before use, do not apply moisturizing cosmetics and minimally wash the silicone bands with water and soap to remove impurities.
- If you encounter fit issues in extreme situations (sports with rapid accelerations and decelerations, high elevation or long-distance runs, high temperatures), wear shorts over the Physiostrap®.
- To limit the risk of skin irritation, do not wear the knee brace while lying down or sitting for extended periods (sleeping, traveling by car, etc.). In case of painful sensations, swelling, discomfort, or any other abnormal reaction, stop using it and consult a doctor.
Contraindications for the sports knee brace
- Do not use on a skin lesion.
- Do not use in case of arteritis, significant varicose condition, sequelae of phlebitis, or edema (lymphatic/venous) of the leg and/or thigh to avoid hindering circulation. In case of doubt, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
- Do not use with compression stockings.

How to maintain your knee brace?
The sports knee brace is machine washable at 30 °C or hand wash (without scrubbing) with water and soap. Do not use detergent or stain remover (bleach, acetone, solvent, etc.). Let it dry naturally. Discard and replace the device as soon as cracks appear in the gel or degradation of the fabric or seams.
When and how long to wear the sports knee brace?
PHYSIOstrap® is a knee brace for athletes with patellar pathology (patellar syndrome, tendinitis, osteoarthritis, etc.). It should be put on just before your sports activity and is only worn dynamically (in motion). It can therefore be used for prevention or to relieve pain as it preserves muscle integrity. Outside of sports, you can wear the medical knee brace all day during daily activities.
What is its lifespan?
The Physiostrap® sports knee brace is made of durable fabric and quality materials that give it an average lifespan of 6 months, provided that the usage and maintenance instructions are followed.
How to choose the right size?
Using a measuring tape, measure the circumference of your knee in a semi-flexed position starting from the center of the patella. Then refer to the measurement in the size guide available at the bottom of the page. If you are unsure between two sizes, prefer the smaller one.
