Heel pads for heel spur that prevent and relieve heel pain while walking.

Indications for EPITACT® heel spur heel pads

EPITACT® heel pads prevent and relieve heel pain caused by heel spur and plantar fasciitis while walking. Thanks to their shock-absorbing capacity, they also reduce joint pain and backaches caused by the shockwave that travels through the body with each step.

How do they work?

The effectiveness of heel pads for plantar fasciitis is based on a triple benefit:

  • Relieve pain: by raising the heel a few millimeters, they reduce tension on the plantar fascia and decrease painful inflammation.
  • Protect tendons and joints: the Physio’Choc™ platform dissipates the energy generated when the foot strikes the ground and ensures optimal cushioning with every step.
  • Provide great walking comfort: the core of the heel pad made of Epithelium™ silicone gel limits pressure on the painful area.

The materials composing the heel spur heel pads have been validated by podiatrists.

Usage advice for EPITACT® heel pads

  • Heel spur heel pads should be worn with socks, stockings, or tights.
  • Before first use, remove the protective film covering the double-sided adhesive, then position the heel pads inside the shoe.
  • If the heel pads are too wide for the shoe, they can be easily trimmed to the desired width with scissors.

Contraindications for plantar fasciitis heel pads

  • Do not use the heel pads on a skin lesion.
  • In cases of diabetes, arteritis, polyneuropathy, neuropathy of the lower limbs, or varicose ulcers: consult your doctor or podiatrist, then monitor your foot during use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference with gel heel pads?

To be effective, heel pads must be made of a shock-absorbing material that limits trauma related to foot impact on the ground. Some gels have this capacity (but not all), whereas Physio'Choc™ is very efficient for this. Moreover, because they are extremely flexible, gel heel pads encourage the foot to roll inward in a pronation posture. Worn for long periods, they can cause pain elsewhere than the foot, such as the knee.

How to choose the right size of heel spur heel pads?

Size S mainly corresponds to small feet; it is more suitable for women. Conversely, size L is better suited for wide feet and generally fits men.

How to know if the heel pad is for the right or left foot?

The end of the heel spur heel pad is beveled. The longer side should be on the inside of the foot.
